Bishops Challenor School

This project consisted of an extension of Bishop Challoner Catholic Collegiate School to provide accommodation for the school’s premises manager.

The brief was that the scheme should meet the highest levels of sustainable design and construction, and the “fullest contribution to the mitigation of and adaptation of climate change”, and that it should achieve a Code for Sustainable Homes rating of Level 4.

To meet this requirement we developed a scheme that incorporates an energy efficient structure using low U values and infiltration, low flow sanitary appliances and an air source heat pump to reduce energy consumption.
