Mayflower Theatre | Southampton

This project rejuvenated Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre for the first time in 30 years. The project included included a complete overhaul of the main auditorium, the orchestra pit and all lighting.

Milieu provided MEP design and Construction for this scheme. The Main Hall refurbishment involved engineering of the Orchestra Pit for air ventilation and velocity to ensure it would not provide any noise in the main hall. The heating system also had to be modified to allow for more space at balcony level.

The Green Room was extended involving the relocation of existing services and equipment. Energy efficient air conditioning and ventilation systems were integrated and these new services connected to the existing services.

The Theatre reopened to the public at the end of September 2018.
